Our Journey to Your Doorstep
Hound & Co was founded on a simple belief: veterinary care shouldn't be a source of stress for pets or their owners. We saw a need for professional, compassionate medical attention delivered in the environment where animals feel safest in their own homes. By eliminating the car ride and the clinical waiting room, we provide a low-stress alternative that allows for deeper focus on your pet's unique health needs. Our mission is to build lasting bonds with our local pet community through transparency, expertise, and a gentle touch.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal & Dairy Sciences from Mississippi State University before earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Lincoln Memorial University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in Harrogate, Tennessee.
Throughout her college and vet school years, Dr. Whittle embraced every opportunity to gain hands-on experience. She worked as a veterinary assistant, spent time working in local boutiques in Starkville and West Point, served as an artificial insemination laboratory technician for swine at Prestage Farms and worked in the Circuit Clerk's Office in West Point. During her clinical year of veterinary school, she traveled across several states completing externships at a wide variety of veterinary hospitals, learning from experienced veterinarians in diverse practice settings and bringing those experiences back to Mississippi. Dr. Whittle's favorite part of veterinary medicine is building lifelong relationships with pets and their families. She loves walking alongside clients through every stage of a pet's life - from the excitement of a puppy or kitten's first visit to caring for them through their senior years.
When she's away from work, Dr. Whittle enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and their three dogs; Moose, a Golden Retriever; Spanner, a Dalmatian, and Luna, a Black Labrador Retriever. Fun Fact: Dr. Whittle is a certified scuba diver.
